2021 Lexus RX 350L Specifications

After a thorough refresh for the 2020 model year, the Lexus RX L crossover SUV is entering the 2021 model year with minor changes. It wasn’t entirely without a difference, however. The most important update Lexus made to the RX L – “L” refers to the additional length over the RX non-L models – was the standard feature list.

The monitoring of the blind spot with reversing warnings and automatically foldable exterior mirrors is now included in all devices. The previous article added $ 1,865 to the bill for the 2020 RX 350L base model and the RX 450hL gasoline-electric hybrid, which are part of a package that also includes a surround view monitor and parking sensor. In the meantime, the final item is wrapped up in the RX L’s $ 1,580 RX 2020 Premium package.

It would be an insult to call the RX design something bold, but that doesn’t mean it will suit everyone. Lexus’ updated spindle grille covers most of the front bezel. Headlights with automatic leveling are available in the center of the hourglass frame. These can be upgraded to matching three-beam LED headlights and taillights. Further options are an electric sliding roof or a panoramic glass roof on selected models and an electric rear door with a kick sensor.

The wheel arches use 18-inch alloys as standard, which can be upgraded to either of the two 20-inch variants, with the 20-inch standard applying to the Black Line iteration. The hybrid model does not differ visually from the standard installation, but the F Sport option. It comes with a unique front bezel and grille, black coated exterior mirrors, and a custom badge. You also get 20-inch F sport bikes. The Black Line variant gets black wheels, a black grille and side body graphics.

Inside, the new Lexus RX Black Line has black seats with blue stitching and white accents. You also get F Sport displays, aluminum panels and a perforated leather gear knob. The Black Line Edition also includes two sets of custom Zero Halliburton travel bags, most notably the Edge Lightweight Collection.

To be one of the best Japanese luxury crossover SUVs with five seats for the money. The Remote Touch surface has long been referred to as one of our least favorite infotainment systems on the market. Still, Lexus is hoping to add a touchscreen that will ease our discomfort and better position it against competitors like the BMW X3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Buyers can have their RX in two different flavors: the powerful RX350 model is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6, while the RX450h comes with a V-6 plus two electric motors. The RX350 is four-wheel drive and manages a decent speed – but slow for its segment – from 6.9 seconds from zero to 60 mph. The RX450h is one of the few hybrids in its segment, but it also takes longer than average to reach 60 mph from a standing start. The best thing about the RX is that you can ride comfortably. It overcomes uneven stretches of road and offers a suitable ride. The cabin remains quiet and well isolated from the road, making the RX an excellent long-range cruiser.

Fuel efficiency is the RX’s advantage, not just because it is offered with an optional hybrid powertrain that reaches 31 MPG City and 28 MPG Highway. The nonhybrid RX350 doesn’t seem very efficient on paper as the front-wheel drive model gets a city rating of 20 MPG and a highway of 27 MPG. In the real world, however, both the RX350 and RX450h exceeded their EPA ratings, each achieving 31 mpg in our 200 mile highway fuel economy test.

The Lexus RX 2021 starts at $ 45,070. This is one of the lowest base prices in a luxury mid-range SUV. The three-row RX L is priced at $ 47,900, while the RX F Sport has a starting price of $ 48,550. Lexus offers many custom packages and options that can add several thousand dollars to the price of an RX model.
