The Moto Guzzi V7 2021 range includes new motorcycles, but based on an engine from the Moto Guzzi V85 TT adventure bike. The new V7 engine replaced the 850, and Moto Guzzi reverted to the humble V7 name, adding the V7 II and V7 III for updates since the V7 came back in 2007. This is a departure from the Moto Guzzi nomenclature since 1967, as the V7 shows its V-twin motor with 700cc range.
For 2021, the V7 range is now equipped with a larger 850cc transversal 90° V‐twin engine based on the V85 TT model. Compared to the previous generation 744cc V7 III, the Moto Guzzi V7 2021 model develops 65 hp and 60 Nm, which is around 25% more. 80% of the total available torque from 3,000 RPM, which sounds great.
The bike has been further refined via the chassis, which has been swapped out for a stiffer headstock for better handling. Twin rear shock absorbers with longer travel, new footpeg support brackets, rear mudguard, side panels, and a new two-tier seat to provide additional comfort. for pilots and passengers.
The 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 will be available in five colour options: Nero Ruvido, Azzurro Ghiaccio, Arancione Rame, Blu Formale and Grigio Casual.
The famous 90° V-twin air-cooled engine produces 52 hp with a 750 cc engine (as the name suggests). This creates a maximum torque of 44 lbs-ft at 4900 RPM. The engine cylinder has a bore length of 80 mm and a distance of 74 mm. They have 2 valves with light alloy pushrods and rockers.
With regard to the suspension, hydraulic telescopic forks with a travel length of 130 mm are used at the front. The rear suspension is a fully adjustable die-cast light alloy swingarm with 2 shock absorbers with adjustable spring preload with a travel length of 93 mm (80 mm shock absorber stroke).
